Vintage puffy squares

I found those little squares and the remaining yarn (Patons Beehive Fingering) at my local thrifstore a couple weeks ago. I’m usually not a big fan of puffy flowers but really those looked so deliciously vintage that I grabbed them. Prune helped me find a way to arrange the colors in a nice way (she’s the one that came up with those rows) and I started assembling them with a single sc-join. Which already made them look so much neater… Now I’m starting to work on the border, which should be a plain Granny-square edging with alternating colors. Despite all my efforts it should remain quite tiny so I’ll call it a newborn blankie… 😉
Can anyone spot what is slightly off with those squares btw ? (I won’t say too much or it’d be too easy to find..)

I also started another set of Granny squares, also with thrifted yarn. But they’re not half as cool.. 😉

You have a thrift store? Here? In France? In the Limousin area, where I live, there are none, except for Secours Catholique, and they only have clothes….

    Boo hoo….
