Sorry it took soooo long but the larger sizes for the Violaine top are finally available ! Special thanks to the testers who checked that the sizing was ok .. (and found a leftover typo! :-P)
I soo need to add more pics to my Gallery btw.. Time flies !
Check out one of the testers’ Violaine (size L) here on Flickr, looks great ! 🙂
Ah well, I’m glad this is done as it’s been in the works for so long and I knew several people were waiting for it.
The last couple days have been really busy getting the swap all organised : we ended up being 36 ! It should be fun, and I’m sure I’ll learn a lot. There seems to be a lot of expert spinners and fiber-people among us.. 😛
I finished this skein of yarn yesterday night. It’s corriedale from my last dyed batch (see pics a couple posts below) which I spun and plied with green sewing thread and some cute flower buttons. Keeping the buttons from becoming an ugly tangled mess was no easy task but it was worth it. My first ever semi-artyarn, Yay !! I’d really like to branch out a bit and try spinning funky yarns. I might indulge in some textured batts on etsy someday soon, and I also can’t wait for Jacey‘s DVD on art yarns. I want to learn new cool techniques !!:-P
What else.. Oh, of course I’ve been playing like crazy with my new kick spindle ! My first try yesterday produced a way underspun single (had to respin it some on my spindle or it broke apart) but now I think I’m getting the hang of it, so cool ! I really love that it’s just as portable and easy to use as my spindle. I don’t quite feel as precise as with my spindle yet, but I know this will come very quickly. Just need to get used to it ! I’m currently spinning the yellow-purple fiber from that same dying session. Pictures coming soon.
Will now try to knit a few rows on that february cardi . The weather is fnally summery and hot so it’s not that easy any more to knit pure wool. One row at a time…
