Or rather… this year’s last post..!!! 😉
Again, not much to show as most of my time lately was sent between family gatherings, Christmas meals ..and caring for Prune who’s been sick all thru the week-end.
Nearly finished the second capelet though, just needs 2 pom-poms and it’ll be ready to send off to my SIL. I just took a quick pic, you might get a more decent one later. Like I said, same yarn but in a lighter lilac shade. This one has 7 repeats of the shell pattern as she asked for a slightly longer one than her sis. And I ran the yarn along the sides to avoid some re-attaching yarn and weaving in at the end.
On top of all the Christmas woopla (we have a very large family, this year was a small party, only 25 of us..) there was a cool surprise waiting for me at my parent’s: M. and JL, the friendly swiss neighbours left 2 boxes of yarn and tons of needles and hooks for me (I think they come for some deceased relatives of theirs) !! There are bamboo needles in there, plus a hook that looks like bone. Not carved, but still utterly cool !! I want to try it asap !!!
Which leads me to this: come around again next week for a little Giveway. Not sure of the mods and stuff, but there should be needles and hooks (brand new Phildar ones, still in packaging) and maybe more…
Nice Capelet! Have fun these days and I hope Prune gets better! “see” you next year!
Have a good 2007
The cape is very pretty – looks lovely with the sweater you’ve got on.
Have a happy new year!
I love the caplet and your new hook! Best wishes for the new year. -Pam
