Happy New Year !
I hope 2010 will be a very crafty and successful year for each of you, full of laughter and happiness ! 🙂
I realise I’m not posting half as often as I used to before we moved here. My computer used to be located in the living room, and I’d be sitting there every minute of the day. Now the computer is in a separate room, our day-job office. I thought about installing a second computer in the living area, but it’s nice to devote more time and attention to my family.. 🙂
It snowed again here right after the end of the holidays.
Today we went sledging with a friend, with light powder snow flying around. Did I say I love living here ? 🙂
Tons of baby Altay hats have come and gone lately.
Most are now in new homes, but I still have those 2 lime-and-plum ones. Argh, so cute in my favorite colors ! 🙂
Have also tried a japanese hat pattern, first seen here. Kureyon seemed a good choice. I quickly changed to a 5mm hook as the initial 4 mm produced a super thick and stiff fabric. Will probably rip it soon though, as I’m not thrilled with the shaping of the top of that hat, all flat.
I totally LOVE that stitch though (main reason why I wanted to try that hat, basically as I fell in love with that particuliar stitch ages ago) and already have a couple designs in mind .. 😉
