Sorry it took so long…The revised pattern for the Roselette top is finally available, with additional instructions to fit a 6 year-old! 😀
If you already purchased the pattern just send me a note and I’ll send you an updated copy. (most of you should be receiving a note about this from Ravelry anyway)
Yesterday I went to my first ever Baby Shower (this is so not the french tradition, where we bring presents once the baby is born) for my friend E. and we had a great time a bunch of with lovely ladies.
I had bought a pretty swirly hat from this lady on Etsy, and made another pair of Little button loafers (from Sylver). This time I made the 3 months size, although they’re probably somewhere between a newborn-and-3mo size because I used dk yarn instead of the recommended worsted weight but really I couldn’t see myself crocheting worsted with a 3.5 mm hook !
No mistake this time but I didn’t even try to watch tv while making them: I need to concentrate on the pattern. Not because it’s difficult, just so I don’t miss bits of instructions the way I usually do.. 😛
All in all, it’s a nice pattern but I’m not enjoying making them as much as I wish I did.. I just hate making 4 soles for each pair. Also I’m not used to not join at the end of each round, and always fear I don’t insert the hook in the right stitch.. 😛
Just so you see what I mean, here’a pic I took the other day of the first pair, the one I crocheted while watching tv: See how the one on the right looks totally off ? That’s the result of mis-reading the instructions and working one row in sc instead of Hdc.. I redid it since, and should have the set finally ready soon.
Okay, will now leave you to drink some tea with the carrot-and-courgettes cake I made this morning. Will post again later today to announce the winners of the Fiber Giveaway. 🙂
These are so so cute!
