Winners ! & How to whip up 2 pairs of slippers in a day…

whoops, between family, work, and my brother arriving for a far-away island with his family, I nearly forgot to announce the winners of my giveaway! 🙂

DH, my favorite random number generator, just picked 2 winners:

-me: “give me 2 numbers between 1 and 12”
-him : “23”
– me: “no, between 1 and 12”
-him: “oh. 9”
-me: “and…”
him: “4”

Soooo..Congratulations to
Anita, who won a copy of the pattern for Ermeline
and Dana, who won a copy of my Ebook “around the granny square”. I will send you the patterns very shortly !!

And thanks to all for the sweet comments !! 🙂

And here’s what I did last week-end: 2 pairs of slippers for my nieces who live on a warm island, with no need for woolens. They are here for 3 weeks, and I thought they needed warm sleepers. And what better pattern than this one ? 🙂
Just like the ones I made for Nell, I like to go with bulky wool yarn and a large hook (6.5 mm). I tried to stay away from acrylic as much as possible to avoid the “boom, slippery slippers” factor.
The bonus with those cuties: each child sees what he wants in them. While my girls call them princess slippers, my niece thought they were Santa’s slippers. 🙂
