More granny squares…

I have finally decided on the colors for my grown-up version of Ermeline. But until the yarn arrives, I can’t stand those idle hands and HAD to start working on something. Anything. Of course, in that case granny squares are the best remedy. 🙂

I started with small ones to try the Sophie Digard style. Except with decent sized yarn and hook of course… 😉 Pretty, but what to do with it as it’s so floppy…? I’m still not sure and leaving it on the side now. The pink and khaki half done square didn’t quite work out either, yarns being a slightly different weight.

So I went back to my Lamb’s Pride bulky. Started a slipper a couple months ago with it, but it turned out ugly. Said slipper design will probably be tried again with another yarn, as this one is too heavy for the project. (I totally don’t see a sweater made with it, would weigh a ton !! :-P) Meanwhile, I’m embarking for a totally new design. A little something that should be done very quickly, once I settle on the little details. Any idea about what I’m making ? 😉

Have a great week-end ! 🙂 Have you entered my giveaway yet ?
